Simon Woodhead

Simon joined Hottinger Group in July 2023, as a Director in Hottinger Family Office.  His clients are based in multiple locations globally, particularly Africa.

He has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years, starting his career in the late 1980’s with Coutts & Co in London.  He undertook a wide variety of roles there, mostly looking after and giving advice to clients based outside the UK.  In 2003 he relocated to Switzerland and spent over 20 years in Geneva looking after clients based in Africa, Europe and Australia amongst others.  In addition to Coutts, he also spent several years working for Royal Bank of Canada and Banque Syz.  As well as providing international families with advice, he also managed teams of private bankers with an emphasis on UHNW clients in Africa.  Simon is authorised to give investment advice in South Africa and is working towards his UK financial qualifications.

Having been born in North Wales, Simon loves the outdoor life; his rugby days are now over but he plays league cricket regularly, walking/hiking, skiing, pilates and has run several half marathons, raising thousands of pounds for charities assisting vulnerable children in the UK and South Africa.  He is married to Alison and has 3 children.  The family is based in Surrey.
