Richard Beggs

Richard joined the Hottinger team as a member of the investment committee in June, 2022. With his more than 30 years of experience in the institutional and private wealth industry, Richard brings tremendous knowledge and insights of the investment markets to the Hottinger investment process and benefits to its clients.

Prior to this he was the CIO of Edmond de Rothschild (EdR), Private Merchant Banking in the UK. He joined EdR in 2013 as CIO of the London business and was additionally appointed CIO of the Global Private Bank in 2015 a role in which he remained until 2019. Before EdR, Richard was Head of Investments for JP Morgan Private Bank in London between 2006 and 2012.

Richard started his investment career as a research analyst at Cazenove in 1988 and moved into institutional fund management at Invesco in 1995, where he became a Partner in 1998 and was responsible for a number of fund management awards in that year.

Away from work, he is passionate about water sports, spending much of his spare time sailing, windsurfing and fishing. Richard is married and lives with his wife and three children in Surrey, England.
