Sarah Deaves

Sarah was appointed in July 2023 as Hottinger Group’s Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair.  She is also the independent Consumer Duty Champion for Hottinger Group and Hottinger & Co.

Sarah has had an extensive executive career in Wealth Management and Banking working with a very wide range of clients including UK, International and High Net Worth.  Wide-ranging early experience in NatWest Group across many facets of banking led to her appointment for 7 years as Chief Executive of Coutts & Co (from 2001).  She then fulfilled Managing Director roles leading Wealth and Regulated Financial Planning businesses in Royal Bank of Scotland (2009) and Lloyds Banking Group (2013).  In 2019 she helped to set up and run Schroders Personal Wealth , a new business providing financial advice and investments for personal clients from a new joint venture between Lloyds Banking Group and Schroders plc.  For the past two years Sarah has been leading the Financial Planning business in Abrdn plc leaving in March 2024.

Sarah is currently a non-executive member of the Risk and Audit Committee for St John’s College Oxford.  She is married with two adult children and enjoys Nordic working.
