Tim joined Hottinger & Co Limited as an Investment Manager from its inception in 2002. He was responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving the infrastructure of the Company as Director of Operations, and building relationships with business partners. Tim became Chief Investment Officer in 2016; Compliance Oversight Officer in 2019; and was appointed CEO in 2020. In 2025, he was asked to use his 40 years’ experience in the industry to assist in implementing and maintaining an operational framework as Chief Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer leading the compliance function. Tim continues to sit on the Investment Committee providing continued market knowledge and insight to the Hottinger investment team.  

In his early career, Tim joined Royal Bank of Canada, working in credit services, before leaving for Bank Julius Baer & Co Limited in 1986. He progressed to become a Retail Sales Trader in 1989 and in 1994 he established an Active Advisory Desk. In 1998 he created an institutional Eurobond sales-trading desk and by 2000, he was a Private Banking Investment Manager to Offshore Discretionary Private Clients. 

Tim is married with a daughter born in 2000; he has an MBA in Banking from the University of London and is an ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach.
